| Dear ARC Friends - On Friday, Super Typhoon Haiyan slammed into Philippines with heavy winds and flooding rains. At least 1,200 people have been reported killed and nearly 1 million people were forced to evacuate their homes ahead of the storm. It’s too soon to understand the full extent of the disaster, but damage is extensive. Our hearts go out to families who've lost loved ones and their homes and belongings in this terrible storm. ARC is on alert. We are closely monitoring the situation in Philippines as it evolves. We are also preparing to deploy a relief team to the area.
