+ Speech Live Streaming at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum +

This morning, I will address an assembly of 650 policymakers, peace-builders, students and engaged citizens at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum in Minneapolis. I’ll be speaking on the necessity of building humanitarian organizations for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. Other speakers at the forum include former President Jimmy Carter and former Vice President Walter Mondale. My speech will run from 10:20 – 11:00am (CT) this morning and will be live streaming on the Nobel Peace Prize Forum website at: http://nobelpeaceprizeforum.org/live/ . I hope you’ll tune in if you can.

+ Fish Town Ebola Treatment Unit Remains Open +

Yesterday, Beatrice Yardolo - hopefully the last Ebola patient in Liberia - was discharged from a treatment center. The country must go 42 days without a new case of Ebola to be declared “Ebola-free”, which is why authorities will keep a handful of treatment units open and operational throughout the country for at least the next two months. The ETU ARC operates in Fish Town in southeast Liberia is one such facility. It’s also the only ETU in the country directed and run by Liberians themselves. + Meeting with Rwandan President Kagame +

Along with several supporters and Board Members, I visited ARC program sites in Rwanda and DRC at the end of February. While in Rwanda, the ARC delegation had the exciting opportunity to meet with Rwandan President Paul Kagame. The group sat down with President Kagame and discussed several topics, including applying hybrid business solutions to humanitarian challenges. ARC has worked in Rwanda since 1994 and began working in neighboring DRC in 2013.
